NATURAL TURF

The natural turf seed is planted between 0,5 - 2 cm above the artificial turf backing. The chosen seed variety depends on the climatic area where the field is placed and the sport being played.
• The natural turf roots are able to grow without any problems thorough the synthetic turf backing, the selective insulating material and the elastic layer.
• As a consequence of all materials the roots have to go through, their moorings grow stronger.

To the eye, the result is a perfect natural pitch, except from the lines that could be 100 % made of synthetic turf. Forget about painting the lines never again!

ARTIFICIAL TURF

(yarns + backing + infill)

• The artificial turf highly protects the natural turf fibres absorbing part of the forces produced during the game.
• The sand and specific mix are used as a supportive element during seed plantation. Moreover, they reinforce the stability of synthetic fibres.
• Placing the backing above helps blocking lateral forces and prevents divots coming out out like usually happens in a natural turf field.

SELECTIVE INSULATING MATERIAL + ELASTIC LAYER

• The insulating material does not allow the sand particles to be filtered. On the other hand, however, it allows the roots to go throught it and grow.
• Thus, an air cavity is created within the holes of the elastic layer. These two elements together provide the following properties:
a) Constant air flow to the roots and reduction of compression.
b) Difficult pathogenic spreading because of being a hydroponic environment.
c) Unlikely for the insects/animals and their larvas to reach the roots.
d) Temperature is longer kept.

SAND SUBSOIL

Roots are fixed and grow in optimum conditions in this layer. Long term fertilisers are applied in the soil. The selective sand is mix together elastic granules to improve ventilation.
Thanks to the hydroponic layer oxygenation and to the no compacted so,i lroots can grow until 30 cm depth.
A deep root zone in the soil gives:
Palau Turf Hybrid real sample
• Enormous capability to absorb water and nutrients.
• Better resistance to hydrological stress.
• Extreme resistance to soil erosion.
• Excellent recovery after damages or non propitious periods.
